This is such a shame. Fr.Rowe is the most genuine priest that has ever been ordained. Along with Fr.McKevly, Belleville was blessed to have him as a champion for humbly interpreting the acts of Jesus. This resignation just exemplifies Fr. Rowe's true virtue. I applaud and admire him more than I ever have!

This is just another instance where Bishop Braxton is not in touch with the parishoners, as Fr. Bill IS in touch with them. Fr. Bill is a wonderful man and priest, who's very life is following Christ's example, and he is being persecuted by the people who should be holding him up as an example to other priests throughout the world. Bless you, Fr. Bill, for all you have done for our parish and school.

I think that Father/Rev Rowe is being tidbitted. I remember him from working at the Academy of Notre Dame in Belleville,Il when I attended High School there he is a very good teacher and priest and i think that the bishop should leave him alone. Father Bill's teachings get the points across. Remember, he who judges lest him be judged!

Well you have my support Fr Bill. I often find the prayers at Mass a little obscure and I think it is one of the jobs of a priest to help us under understand.

It sounds harmless enough but if a priest thinks he knows better than the church is asking him it shows a lack of humility and where would it end if the church allowed priests to write their own mass.

I'm sure that Fr. Rowe means well, but he is misguided on this issue. He can't see that he is denying his parishioners the fully Roman Catholic Mass? There's a reason why it's universal throughout the world. He's taking a Protestant approach in a Catholic parish.
